A soothing and aromatic syrup made with fresh pine needles and honey. Forest-sweet, vitamin-rich, and perfect for winter teas or sore throats.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fresh Scots pine needles lightly chopped
  • 250 ml water
  • 150 ml honey raw or mild floral
  • small slice of lemon or piece of ginger optional

Equipment

  • Saucepan
  • Strainer
  • Glass bottle or jar
  • Wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Rinse and chop the pine needles.
  2. Combine pine needles and water in a small saucepan.
  3. Simmer gently for 10–15 minutes, covered.
  4. Strain the liquid and let it cool slightly.
  5. Stir in honey until fully dissolved.
  6. Pour into a clean glass bottle and store in the fridge.
  7. Use 1–2 teaspoons in tea, hot water, or as a natural cough syrup.

Notes

💡 Tip: Combine with spruce or fir needles for a deeper forest aroma.
⚠️ Note: Use only edible pines (like *Pinus sylvestris*). Avoid yew or similar toxic evergreens. Not for infants under 1 year.
