Ingredients
  

**For the filling:**
  • 5 apples peeled, cored, sliced
  • 2 tbsp sugar or honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
**For the crumble topping:**
  • 150 g flour
  • 100 g rolled oats
  • 120 g butter cold, cubed
  • 80 g brown sugar
  • 80 g walnuts chopped
  • Pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a bowl, toss apple slices with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Transfer to oven dish.
  3. In another bowl, mix flour, oats, sugar, salt, and walnuts. Rub in butter with fingers until crumbly.
  4. Sprinkle topping evenly over apples.
  5. Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and bubbling.
  6. Serve warm with cream, yogurt, or vanilla ice cream.

Notes

💡 Tip: Mix apples with pears for extra sweetness, or add dried cranberries.
⚠️ Note: Let crumble cool slightly before serving – filling will be very hot.
