🌰 Roasted Hazelnuts

A simple and delicious snack: hazelnuts roasted with sea salt or a sweet honey glaze. Perfect as a healthy nibble or to top salads and desserts.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 g raw hazelnuts
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1-2 tbsp honey or maple syrup optional, for glaze

Equipment

  • 1 Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, toss hazelnuts with olive oil or butter.
  3. For savory: sprinkle with sea salt.
  4. For sweet: drizzle with honey or maple syrup and stir to coat.
  5. Spread nuts in a single layer on the tray.
  6. Roast for 12–15 minutes, stirring halfway, until golden and fragrant.
  7. Let cool before serving. Store in an airtight jar.

Notes

💡 Tip: Add a pinch of cinnamon or smoked paprika for extra flavor.
⚠️ Note: Keep a close eye while roasting – nuts can burn quickly.
