A refreshing iced tea made with mashed blackberries, fresh mint, and hot water – steeped, cooled, and served over ice for the perfect summer drink.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Handfull Fresh blackberries about 80g
  • 7 leaves Fresh mint
  • 500 ml Hot water
  • 1-2 tbsp Honey or sugar optional
  • Ice cubes
  • Lemon slices optional, for garnish

Equipment

  • 1 Heatproof jug or teapot
  • 1 Muddler or spoon
  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 Glasses with ice

Method
 

  1. In a heatproof jug, mash the blackberries and mint leaves gently with a spoon or muddler.
  2. Pour hot water over the mixture and let steep for 5–7 minutes.
  3. Strain into a clean jug or glasses. Sweeten with honey or sugar if desired.
  4. Chill in the fridge or serve immediately over ice cubes.
  5. Garnish with extra mint leaves or lemon slices.

Notes

💡 Tip: For extra flavor, let the tea infuse longer in the fridge (1–2 hours).
⚠️ Note: Use only ripe, fresh blackberries for the best flavor. Frozen berries also work – just thaw before mashing.
