Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Roast prepared acorns on a baking tray for 15–20 minutes until dark brown and fragrant.
- Grind roasted acorns into coarse grounds.
- Add grounds to a saucepan with water. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.
- Strain into mugs and serve hot.
- Add milk, cream, or honey to taste.
Notes
💡 Tip: Darker roasting = stronger, more bitter flavor. Adjust to taste.
⚠️ Note: Always leach acorns properly before roasting to remove tannins.
