
Walnut & Wild Herb Bread
A rustic homemade bread packed with walnuts and fresh wild herbs. Perfect for autumn soups, cheese platters, or simply with butter.

Ingredients
Method
- In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast, and salt.
- Add warm water and olive oil, stirring to form a dough.
- Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour, until doubled in size.
- Punch down the dough and knead in walnuts and herbs.
- Shape into a loaf and place in a greased tin or on a baking sheet.
- Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 200°C (390°F).
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden brown and hollow when tapped.
- Let cool on a wire rack before slicing.
Notes
💡 Tip: Swap wild herbs for garden herbs like parsley, rosemary, or thyme if not in season.
