Method
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Using a sharp knife, score an “X” on the flat side of each chestnut.
- Place chestnuts on a baking tray in a single layer.
- Roast for 20–25 minutes until shells peel back and nuts are tender.
- Wrap roasted chestnuts in a clean kitchen towel for 5 minutes to steam slightly.
- Peel while warm and enjoy immediately.
