Method
- Heat the oil to approximately 180°C.
- Gently rinse and pat the magnolia petals completely dry.
- In a bowl, lightly mix flour, sparkling water, and salt.
- Do not overmix — lumps are perfectly fine.
- Dip the petals lightly into the batter (thin coating).
- Fry for 1–2 minutes until lightly golden.
- Remove and drain on kitchen paper.
- Serve immediately while crispy.
Notes
💡 Tip: Add a splash of extra sparkling water right before frying for an even lighter batter.
⚠️ Cold batter + hot oil + short frying time = perfect crispiness.
