Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Magnolia petals fresh, pesticide-free
  • 120 ml Rice vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Sugar
  • 1/2 tbsp Salt
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. Gently rinse the magnolia petals and pat dry.
  2. Place the petals and sliced ginger into a clean jar.
  3. In a saucepan, heat vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
  4. Pour the hot liquid over the petals.
  5. Let cool slightly, then seal the jar.
  6. Let sit for 1–2 hours before serving.

Notes

💡 Tip: Use only magnolia varieties known to be edible (like Magnolia x soulangeana).
⚠️ Avoid bitter varieties and always taste a small piece first.
