- Add the blackberries and water to a small saucepan. Simmer gently for about 5 minutes until the berries soften.
- Mash with a fork or lightly blend for a smoother texture.
- Stir in honey or maple syrup.
- Mix in the chia seeds and stir well.
- Let cool for 5 minutes – the jam will thicken as the chia seeds absorb liquid.
