A soothing herbal tea made by steeping fresh or dried plantain leaves in hot water. Traditionally used to calm coughs and sore throats.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp Dried plantain leaves or 1 tbsp fresh, chopped
  • 250 ml Hot water
  • honey or lemon, to taste optional

Equipment

  • 1 Mug or Teapot
  • 1 Kettle
  • 1 Tea strainer

Method
 

  1. Place the plantain leaves in a mug or teapot.
  2. Pour hot water over and let steep for 8–10 minutes.
  3. Strain into a cup.
  4. Add honey or lemon if desired. Sip slowly while warm.
